Explanation

Milpa (Central America) and Ladang (Indonesia/Malaysia) are regional names for shifting cultivation, the slash-and-burn system in which forest land is cleared, cropped briefly and then left fallow. They are not forms of mixed farming, truck farming (market gardening) or plantation agriculture. The answer is shifting cultivation.
