Explanation

The Soorajmull–Nagarmull group, a prominent Marwari business house, took over the British managing agency firm McLeod & Co. in the post-independence period, part of the wider Indianisation of British-owned managing agencies. Andrew Yule later became a public-sector undertaking rather than being acquired by this group, and Octavius Steel and Davenport were not taken over by Soorajmull–Nagarmull. The firm is McLeod.
