Explanation

François Bernier, the French physician and traveller, served as the personal physician of Prince Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Shah Jahan, and accompanied him during the Mughal war of succession. He was not the physician of Prince Murad, Princess Jahanara or Emperor Shah Jahan himself. His 'Travels in the Mogul Empire' records his association with Dara Shikoh.
