Explanation
Under Article 109, when a Money Bill is transmitted to the Rajya Sabha, the House must return it within 14 days — two weeks — with or without recommendations. The Lok Sabha may accept or reject those recommendations; the Rajya Sabha cannot amend or reject the Bill. Two weeks is therefore the maximum period for which the Rajya Sabha can delay a Money Bill.
