Explanation

Xylem is a complex tissue because it is composed of more than one type of cell — tracheids, vessels, xylem parenchyma and xylem fibres — working together in conduction and support. Parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma are simple tissues made of a single cell type. Hence the complex tissue is xylem.
