Explanation
In the inaugural Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar (2024), the Vigyan Ratna — the highest category, recognising lifetime achievement — was conferred on Prof. Govindarajan Padmanabhan, the renowned biochemist of IISc Bengaluru known for his work on malaria parasite biochemistry.
