Oceans are a great source of carbon sink absorbing CO2 in various forms. However in recent years, the absorption has led to ocean acidification (IPCC report). (2) Heat balancethrough Atlantic meridional circulation/overturning (AMO94) ocean currents lead hot water of equator towards poles. (3) Provision of livelihood to help people fight climate change.
