Loss and damage means the effects caused by climatic events. Loss means it cannot be recovered and damage can be brought to its initial stage by intervention. Importance of Loss and Damage (1) Assess the required interventions to rectify the problem by financing (2) Aids in assessment of the impacts of climatic event (3) Helps in ensuring quick recovery. Relevance in climate equity (1) Undo the historical wrong done by developed countries.
