Worsen in using in the frequency and intensity of disasters we need to integrate modern and traditional methods for disaster. Modern + Traditional = Disaster Resilience Methods Importance of integration: (1) Gives better disaster warning/prediction. Example: Mangrove to reduce the cyclone impact (3) Response: Innovative way to revise operation. This can be used to train NDRF personnel to respond in the hostile condition. DUK: partial arts or dumping dc (4) Rebuild work better: to recover from the off disasters. Providing traditional medical care, economic integration, stress therapy etc. (5) Community: assisting and participation: often tribals are not rescued from disasters due to their non integration in mainstream. This will solve this problem. (6) It shows us path to the sustainable practices to cater any unforeseen disasters of future as well.
Conclusion
We need Reactive approach → Proactive approach for disaster resilience. Traditional practices along with modern touch is way forward.
