Harnish, wherein technology was more prevalent, traditional ecological knowledge and tribes gave them immunity to the disasters. Worsen in using in the frequency and intensity of disasters we need to integrate modern and traditional methods for disaster. Modern + Traditional = Disaster Resilience Methods Importance of integration: (1) Gives better disaster warning/prediction. Examples where indigenous practices have contributed to disaster resilience: (1) Uproving Mangroves on the coastal line gave protection from cyclone by dissipating its energy in coastal belt. (2) Lodi Roofs on the top of houses. During so electricity and provides protection to heat waves. (3) Beef Ecology: saved plants, conserving environment beyond anthropocentrism, reducing the climate change hence less disasters. We need Reactive approachProactive approach for disaster resilience.
