(2) Investment: R&D investment at 0.6% of GDP prohibiting technical textile research. (3) Mechanization: India lags at 145%+ while China, US are much ahead.
4Value Chain Integration: China, Vietnam has overlapped end-to-end integration from Form to Foreign. (5) Export Promotion: India's in top layup catering in textile production despite top population in a labour intensive industry. Need is to produce & promote export. (6) Regulation: Voluntary integration in MMTEC has led to dominance of scale and reached. (7) Women employment: Since covid, women's participation in formal employment has decreased. (8) Labour costs: Demand allows supply balance. Need to: (1) Deepen (2) Promote to (3) Employ to reach the 5F Field: Form, Factory, Foreign, Fashion under the National Technical Textile Mission.
