Despite recent steps towards inducting women into combat roles, their participation remains low. Examine the key challenges impeding the greater inclusion of women in the Indian armed forces. Also, suggest suitable measures to enhance their participation.

After SC judgment, women have been included in combat roles; however, participation of women serveers slow. Key challenges: (1) Lack of infrastructure for women (2) Prejudiced mindset to not work under female officer (3) Changing nature of workforce requires constant skill-up grading.
