The National Commission for Women has been the apostle for institutionalised gender justice, with several landmark achievements. NCW - Achievements: 1) Revises the constitutional and legal safeguards for women in India. Example: reviews the effectiveness of Visakh judgement at workplace. 2) Provides policy inputs and legislative forum for discussion of female issues. Example: NCW played a crucial role in Nari Shakti Vandhan Adhinyam. 3) Collaboration with NGOS and CSOs. Example: Mahila-ki-arn Sashaktikaaran Adhikar March receives inputs from NCW.
