Besides being public servants, they are also citizens and have personal lives. At times, there is an inherent tension among the roles. How can a public servant effectively navigate the intrinsic tension between their personal interests and official duties and between private inclinations and public obligations?

Public servants are often find themselves compromising between personal interest & Public duties due to constraints of time, resources and mental stress. Navigating the intrinsic tension: (1) Emotional/Intelligent to not being the baggage of one sphere in another. (2) Personal loss of money/health etc should not interfere Public duty. (2) Upholding Integrity in conduct others the personal & private/Public sphere. (3) Recognising the Personal & Public duties, thus giving appropriate time to both. Personal Duty: Parenthood, motherhood, friendship Public Duty: Citizen activity, Leadership (4) Aptitudes to manage the work & life in most effective manner.Using ICT tools.efficient to solve time. (5) Private inclinations must be recognised and should be deliberately at avoided in Public obligations. ⚠️ Conflict of Interest.OBJECTIVITY (6) Personal life must be given time, because professional efficiency stems from personal life stability. Madhyam Marga of Buddha is the way to go in dealing with personal interest/life and Public Duty.
