Measures to address (1) Evergreen revolution instead of green revolution (2) Pulses (low water demand and leguminous) so need to enhance production. (3) MSP to pulses and oil seeds as well. (4) Procurement and distribution should be made efficient. (5) Vegetable oil requires North-Eastern potential. - Area specific developed (eg. groundnut MH, sunflower Telangana) - Enhance processing capabilities. Enhancing production to vegetable oil and pulses will help enhance India's global agriculture share (currently < 3%).
