As per census 2011, 8.8% of Indian population is in old category. The sex-ratio of 1083 among old population highlights need of women-specific policies. Vulnerability of old age women: (1) Inflation eating savings. (2) Lack of social security. (3) Rise of nuclear families, increase in vulnerability. (4) Mental health, loneliness, frustration. (5) Lack of health insurance, economic avenues. Measures to solve issue of elderly women:
