India and the US have a long history of ups and downs lasting from the first World War all the way to today's bilateral conclusion of Russia-Ukraine War. Oscillatory Relationship in the Past: (1) In WWII while India was colonized, USA prevented it to force Indians to part openly in the war. (2) In Cold War, USA was opposed to India's Non Aligned Policy and premised to support USA against the USSR. However, recently the US-India relationship has a springdepth:
