Can the infusion of foreign educational institutions be a transformative step in enhancing the global competitiveness of higher education in India and addressing the prevailing quality challenges? Justify with reason.
Main Body
The National Education Policy of 2020 introduced the need for incorporating foreign educational institutions in Indian higher education as a means of quality enhancement. Foreign Educational Institutions can augment global competitiveness of quality: 1. Increased best practices sharing between nations can improve pedagogy. 2. Infrastructural transfer and technical upgradation, e.g. enhanced use of AI in classrooms for better learning outcome. 3. Greater interoperability with international institutions will raise the standards of Indian education.
However, this is not the sole solution. More research enhanced objective development, e.g. smart classrooms, work Indian education on new technology -> Industrial Revolution creation, quality-based education programme. Vocational skill-based education creating global citizens and future leaders. Foreign Educational Institutions are an essential step towards globalising education and making India an education hub.
