Indo-Pacific region in recent times has emerged as a zone of diverging interests and priorities. Discuss do you think the Global Security Initiative will supersede QUAD in the region?

Indo-Pacific, the idea of which was put forward in 2007 is an emerging area in geopolitics. Indo-Pacific region - zone of diverging interest and priorities: Divergence in intent and priorities: (1) Divergence over the name, eg.) Asia-Pacific Vs Indo-Pacific (role of India) (2) Rivalry between China and USA in the region for hegemony (3) Western nations are militarising it while S-E Asian countries don't want it, eg.) recent AUKUS initiative

Other areas: (1) Divergence over global norms, eg.) China not following BWEOs (2) Open reserves, eg.) South China Sea, Vietnam, Philippines Global Security Initiative superseding QUAD: (1) Bringing Indo-Pacific power together as against 4-member group of QUAD (2) QUAD is only a engagement group while Global Security Initiative includes trading alliances

Dealing with emerging issues in the area, eg.) Indo-Pacific has become western construct. However, issues like: (1) Hegemony of China over the initiative (2) its debt-diplomacy and non-transparent regime (3) Un-democratic order of China (4) Currency manipulation (5) undermining smaller powers of the regions (eg.) Vietnam All would prevent its rise in global order and acceptance worldwide, for a just world order both these organisations must work together.
