What were the primary consideration and factors that influenced India's decision to adopt a parliamentary system.

Presidentializaton of parliamentary democracy: (1) Increasing Role of governor: Influenced by governor's day to day functioning of government. (2) Decisions taken by Cabinet instead of floor of the parliament. (3) Elections: Elections revolve around personality cult like in presidential elections. (4) Extensive use of ordinances for eg: Tribunal reforms ordinance. (5) Reserving of majority of state bills for presidential consideration eg: NEET bill. (6) Passage of bills without debate eg: Farm laws. Though there is a tendency towards presidentializaton but still majority of features are of parliamentary democracy. And these features are working well in India for eg (1) Multi party system (2) Wider representation of people. (3) Collective responsibility (Article 73). Swaran Singh Committee had remarked that parliamentary system is working well in India as it suits well to the needs of Indian people.
