In light of recent developments, the Collegium system and the Supreme Court's decision to reject down of National Judicial Appointments Commission (NJAC) Act, 2014 have once again come under scrutiny. Do you think that a NJAC-like body can make judicial appointments more transparent and process-driven? Your arguments.

NJAC Act, 2014 came to affect 4th judges case through 99th constitutional amendment but also struck down due to violation of constitutional doctrine of separation of power. Issues with collegium system: i Opacity in allocation process - black box appointment. ii Quotes selection of judges - supreme opaque - i.e. empire within empire visible accountability. iii Nepotism of fairount from operation - uncle judge's syndrome. iv Restore accountability & transparency.
