(1) India currently has a trade deficit of $30 billion with ASEAN nations. (2) India receives its maximum FDI from Malaysia and Singapore. (3) ASEAN countries culturally connected through Buddha diplomacy and temple temples in Thailand and Cambodia. (4) Connectivity initiatives: like IMT (India Myanmar Thailand Highway), Mekong River paged, Kaladar Multi-modal connectivity, etc.
