Examine the scope and significance of the Supreme Court's advisory jurisdiction under Article 143 of the Constitution.

Part B of Indian Constitution under supreme court provisions, Article 143 provides for advisory jurisdiction of SC for President. Scope of A.143: (1) President can ask advice of SC on various matters: a Pre-constitutional treaties: Here SC is mandated to provide the delivered advice. b Any other question related to constitutional legal provision: Here SC is not bound to provide advice c President asked SC about Governors' power under Art.200 (Assent to Bills). Significance of A.143: a) Reducing of litigations in the courts b) Closity to President and Parliament about various ambiguous clauses of constitution c) Establishes interpretation of laws and constitutional provision which is the final interpreter of it. However, SC is not bound to provide advice on other matters than pre-constitutional treats. Also President is not bound by the advice of SC, as He/she may follow it or not.
