Rajasthan City Workers Social Security Act 2022 - Addressing gaps in existing policies

Recently, Karnataka too has introduced Old age worker social security act. Existing labour codes provided social security to permanent employees. However, in recent times, there has been rise of contract based labour for City workers. By highlighting issues of City workers, unorganised sector workers, pressure groups bridge gap in existing policies. These pressure groups have played a key role in workers' social security movement.
