Representation of People's Act 1950, 1951 were enacted under article 102 of Indian constitution to streamline election process. They provide for various provision related to election process. RPA1950 - Seat allocation to states, Preparation of electoral poll, Qualifications of candidate and voters. These acts have played significant role yet be certain shortcomings as - Limited postal ballot provision - which denies legal no. of people from participating in election an - migrant workers, NRI. No separate provision against use of religious sentiments in election. Like no separate provision to check use of armed forces in

(An- This election ECI expanded it to there were BOVS). 3) E-voting - this idea on be also listed on pilot basis then amplified accordingly.

With this wholesome approach electoral process can be further structured to have a well functioning democracy as per needs of 21st century.
