The Preamble of Indian Constitution is like a short summary or introduction to the constitution. It acts as key to minds of makers of Constitution. Core ideals of Preamble forming bedrock of India's constitutional framework: (1) Sovereignty: IS a means India's is free from any external control and can take its own decisions. (2) The Preamble states "We the people" meaning people are ultimate sovereign. (3) India can code any territory or acquire existing territories. (Article 1 to 4) (4) Inclusion of Sikkim (1975)

2Socialism: In Indian we follow democratic socialism. Article 39b and 39c calls upon state to prevent concentration of wealth. Article 15(4), 16(4) provide for special provisions for SC, ST, woman. (3) Secularism: Indian secularism is based on equal treatment of all religion. Article 21: freedom to practise religion of one's choice. Article 28: freedom from religious instruction. Article 27: non-payment of tax to promote any religion. Article 14: equality before law and equal protection of law. (4) Democracy: States declared as a Republic.
