Identify and discuss the challenges hindering effective implementation of gender-sensitive policies and schemes in the country.

While there are Multiple Policies like Maternity Benefit, Beti Bachao Beti Padho campaign etc., yet India Ranks 130 in Global Gender Gap Index, should that Policies Formulation Gap Implementation Formation needed. Challenges in Implementation of Gender-Sensitive Policies & Scheme: 1) Social Ideology hasn't changed - Reduced social mobility of women reduced women beneficiaries, Lack of Independence in decision making hamper repeated benefit of scheme. 2) Lack of Feedback Mechanism in Policies - while Beti Bachao Beti Padho is a national scheme - but its need is in Haryana, Raj, UP is higher than kerala or Tamil Nadu. 3) Lack of Data based Policy Making - Maternity Benefit Act, Industrial laws in some state denying women's right job. 4) Lack of grassroot inputs training - Panchayats to be accountable. 5) Top Down approach - SC laying down guidelines (Viodakha v/s State of Raj) than stakeholder consultation
