Discuss the benefits and challenges associated with the entry and operation of foreign higher educational institutions for internationalization of Indian higher education, in the light of recently released UGC guidelines regarding the same.

Indian Higher Education system has been performing apt adequately in global rankings. Only 2-3 IITs in top 100. Thus, Internationalization of Higher Education System was formalized by New Education Policy. Benefits of Entry & Operation of Foreign Higher Educational Institution: (1) Promote Excellence of best practices. (2) Culture of research & development in Indian higher education. (3) Healthy Competition amongst national & foreign institutions. (4) In Ardent times, India hosted Foreign university like Nalanda.
Challenge: (1) Read TQism in India but Foreign university home exist in maximum control. (2) Excessive Central of Syllabus & Curriculum in India, not conducive for foreign universities. (3) Friction between cultural values of India & other western countries. (4) Doesn't guarantee that Foreign higher Educational Institution will adopt best practices. (5) Autonomy for foreign university & control on Indian university will dispute injustice of injustice. (6) Enrich Indian Education system with global culture. Conclusion: A carefully calibrated regulatory structure is needed.
