Why are State Legislative Assemblies involved in the election of the President but excluded from the impeachment?

Under art 54 of constitution elected members of state legislature not directly participate in election of president. Involved in election because: President represents entire country and not just centre. Determination of president influence state. President permitted designating to change rule of state under art 3. Decision of president influence state. Presidents permitted requiring states governed by operating to state level laws affecting governing. To make the process simpler execute. Removal of president not significant affects states rights as he will not office on advice of CM's his decision valid even after removal. Concerns with this: President may clash in favour of centre. Inconsistency in approach of appointment and removal. Thus the office of president should be kept at free of politicization to build trust between centre & the state.
