And the Under 5 Mortality Rate USMR has seen a significant decline in last 10-11 year to current USMR of 53/1000 live births (NFHS-5). Key determinants of malnutrition in U5 children: (1) Stunting -> shorter height than average of WHO & 35% in India. (2) Wasting -> lower weight than avg. with for age most of WHO & 18.5% in India. U5 mortality Rate = Mortality x 1000 / (S2 births the broth).

3Anemia incidence -> provids information of Fe deficiency & 1 by 5 children (Under 5). (4) Kawashiorks Medicine -> marker of Protein deficiency -> ants in India due to vegetarian diets & food insecuriy & 45% have protein deficient diets (NFHS-5). (5) Micronutrients and vitamin deficiencies - Vit A - xerophthalmis - PO+ Vit B - berberi - Vit C - Scurvy - Vit D - Rickets - Vit E - skin dieses deficiency disorder.

Nutrition-specific interventions: (1) Fortified salt iodization (2) Golden rice in mid day meal (Vitamin A). (3) Protein enriched veg daily. (4) POSHAN Abhiyaan -> evaluate materies of all nutrient - cases, protein tests. (5) Sugar Boards in CBSE schools (To L sugar consumption). Nutrition sensitive interventions: (1) Integrated child development scheme ICDS. (2) Mid Day meal scheme MMS. (3) Poshan Scheme. Balanced diet for children is critical as good health is prime to good body & good health behaviour & the most of it is UNICEF [illegible].
