4Misuse of reservation provisions - eg Raja Khedhar, IAS case (5) Lack of accessible infrastructure especially in Tier II & III cities - eg lack of wheelchair ramps, disability-friendly toilets, Braille institutions, etc. ACHIEVING INCLUSIVENESS: (1) Proper implementation of PWD Act, 2016 is essential. (2) Checks by local bodies to ensure all major building have PWD-friendly infrastructure. (3) Promotion of sports infrastructure for disabled people - eg Paralympics like Avani Lekhara, Sumit Antil, etc (4) Mental health counselling for free under Mental Healthcare Act, 2013. (5) Hence, identification of issues is necessary for inclusive development as noted by us.
