Ans-7: National Commission for Scheduled Castes NCSC has been enshrined in Article 338 Part XVI of Indian Constitution. COMPOSITION Chairperson: 6 members appointed by President MANDATE AND POWERS (1) NCSC inquires, investigate and monitor matters related to constitutional and legal safeguards provided to SC and evaluate their working. (2) To inquire into complaints regarding violation of rights provided to SC. (3) Focus on development-then reservation.

4To participate and advise in the social and economic developmental process of SC. (5) Mandatory submit reports to the President who further places it before Parliament. (6) Recommending measures for effective implementation of rights provided to SC. (7) To advise in the matters referred by the President regarding protection, advancement & welfare of SC.
