Convergence between SHGs and panchayats is an assured way of achieving women empowerment. Do you agree?

It can also help achieve women empowerment in the following ways: 1. Exchange of ideas, planning. 2. Earmarking special budgets by both SHGs and Panchayats for women. 3. Camps, financial literacy camps for members of SHGs => Financial Empowerment. (eg. SEWA) 4. Grooming of women as leaders => Political empowerment. 5. Attitudinal and behavioural change can be brought about. 6. Gaps in human resource and social capital can be filled. 7. Research shows that Women Sarpanch spend more on education => positive feedback loop can be created. Thus, this convergence can go a long way in India achieving its goal of Gender Justice SDGS.
