Parliamentary committees are provided in Constitution (Articles 105, 112) and in Rules of Business of Houses to ensure an additional system of checks and balances. Parliamentary committees (Article 300): I. Legislative Oversight: (1) Demand Committee - ensure oversight on President expenditure (2) Department Committee - Scrutinize Bills referred II.
