Delimitation is the exercise of redefining the 'territorial boundaries' under Article 82 of constitution. Important why important: (1) "principle of one vote - one value" (2) equitable representation of states in LokSabha (3) mandate under article 52 and article 352C [CSC/ST vej] (4) To ensure the census date is reflected properly (5) The IOTHA - New shall affirmed the change only rules delimitation.

Challenges: 1. Uneven growth of population (Total density rate - TFPI - replacement rate - TFPI) with leading to unequal representation of states in Loksha against South states 2. Leads to unequal in increase of North states against South states - with data showing variations between North(Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, MP with +32 seats) and South (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala with -19 seats) 3. Census has taken a close leading to drafting of delimitation 4. The order of delimitation cannot be challenged in courts.
