What are Rare Earth Elements (REEs)? Discuss the multi-dimensional implications of uneven distribution of REEs in the world.
Main Body
As for all, more than [60%] is mined in China making it's impact across most, economic & political paradigms Implications: (1) [Social] => Exploitation of labours in extraction (e.g. Xinjiang province of China) by Unequitable distribution of benefits to muck. Most of the REE are used for export and wrt informs use. (2) [Economic] => Heavy reliance of on one source => vulnerable to geopolitical conflict (e.g. More than 90% based aluminum comes from China => Trade wars & tariff barriers) (3) [Political] => Leverage [hard importance] in geopolitical discussions => Surging climate directions: With more than [60%] of solar place being built in China, climate disruption don't happen equally then. UsW India doesn't have resources much, is must focus on [sustainability] for REE import.
