Articles 356 and 365 deal of the Constitution deal under the provision of President's rule that can be imposed in a state.

Reasons for imposition of President's Rule:

1When President in declaration made a situation arises under the state Government is not in position (Art. 356)
2When the State Government refuses to follow the directions of the Centre (Art. 365)
3When Governor's President a report to the President for imposition of President's rule in his concerned state.

Procedure for its imposition:

President's rule can be introduced on issues during Parliament.

The Proclamation for the imposition of President's rule has to be barred by both the houses of Parliament with simple majority within 2 months of the date of issue.

1It continues for 6 months and after each approval it can be continued till 5 years in continued full succession.
2It can be revoked only by President at any time.

Effects:

1ST leads dissolution of state legislatures assembly.
2Governor carries out executive direction with President's permission.
3Laws on state subjects can be made by President or any authority aided by President.
4There is no effect on fundamental rights of the citizens.
