Although quasi-judicial bodies have powers resembling those of the judicial bodies, there are important points of distinction between the two. Elaborate.

Quasi-judicial bodies can be defined as such bodies which have both administrative and judicial functions.

Examples of Quasi-judicial bodies are permanent tribunal, National Commission for Women, National Consumer Protection Act (NC), National Consumer Commission (NCC), Central Information Commission etc.

Tribuna bodies can be defined as public bodies which have only judicial functions and as supreme court, high court etc.

Similarities of powers between tribunals:

a) Both follow the procedure of Civil Procedure Code of Criminal Procedure Code.

b) Both are independently concerned with adjudication of disputes.

Both share the powers of equal in linear of scales or (child laws) or (RTC st state st art) as well justifying a matter.
