Arguments against mandatory linkage: 1. Concerns of privacy & surveillance state. 2. Aadhar is neither a citizenship doument, nor failed proof identification made. 3. There exist discrep acies within aadhar authentication as well eg. illegal migrants inclusion in the North East. 4. Aadhar cannot be made mandatory to avail services - this is noted by SC 2 doing so would be illegitmate outreach. (KS Puttaswamy judgment) 5.
