To what extent have farmer associations been successful in influencing public policies and governance in the country?

Recently due to farmers' protest government has forced to take back farm laws (CIDRA)

Success of farm association in influencing policy:

1. Pressure on Legislative & execute

eg: Farm bills

2. Put forward farmers' rights & needs

eg: RISE in MSP

3. Co-operate with state for farm implement

eg: Green revolution

4. Social awareness about farmers

5. Seed protection

eg: Prevention of modified & genetically modified crops? B genetically

However there are certain challenges with farm organization

1. Unequal demands - difficult to fulfill all

2. Request protest - eg: blockade of highways

3. Alleged foreign funding

eg: Hollywood advertisited for 3 farmer protests

4. Lack of effort to co-operate with government

These farmers also sustains have been successful with better coordination.
