Globalization led to the integration of worldwide social relations which link different localities in such a manner that a local happening is influenced by an event many miles away (as per Anthony Giddens).

Globalization Redefining Community & Kinship:

(i) Emergence of digital communities due to increasing connectivity

(ii) Community of bearers, streams etc.

(iii) Creation of neo-family structures such as double income no kids, single parent family

(ii) Residing in urban areas due to rising cost of occupational rigidity

Traditional Elements still remained:

(i) IL high lights functional longing is even though children stay away but still contribute to land family

(ii) Total family size prevalent in rural India

(iii) Patriarchy [till the norm (SP high)

Thus while globalization has redrawn some elements there to a 'cultural lag' in other more vital aspects of kinship & community
