The season for this contribution is largely due to the patronage of nobles which also led to the wide adoption of Buddhism.
Patronage 1. Maayan Sampijee 1. Buddhist Councils These were patrons ed by Ajatasahu (483 BC), Kalasoka (283 BC), Ashoka (250 BC) and Kanishka (72 AD) which combined to Buddhist literature
5. Satvahana. Thuy pahonise d the Amawah school of sculpture & Asehi tature. e.g. Amawah Stupa, Seated & Stadiu Buddha Sculptures.
6. Pala Dynasty maintained. They created the magnificent Nalanda University as well as the Mahabodhi temple, Gaya.
Such patronage also led to the spread of Buddhism to other countries, thus we find Buddhist art architecture across & South & South East Asia e.g. Srilanka, Afghanistan, etc.
