Laws promote social control by resolving basic value conflicts, settling individual disputes, and making rules that even our rulers must follow. But, law does not always achieve its purpose and can rather harm society. In this background, discuss the limitations and dysfunctions of law. (Answer in 150 words)

Laws are set of rules, regulations and guidelines for that guide behaviour in society.
"Laws are not needed when citizens are abiding." => Aristotle.
Limitations and dysfunctions of laws:
1Law is not proportional => does not apply fairly/equally to all individuals.
(EG) discriminating use of business laws
2Superstitious implementation of existing laws
3Rationale of a law is not discerned in citizens. (EG) use act of instant shutdown without public consultation.
4Ambiguous laws => what is do you read is jammed, when ambiance is waiting? (EG) are restraining not liberating laws against commercied usage hampering right to redaction.
5In order to define its purpose laws need to be encouraging vies of all and should be fine with ethical egotism and ethical altruism.
