Even after seven decades of independence, the colonial mindset continues to cast its shadow on Indian society. Examine.

After almost 200 years of colonial rule, we had gained independence 70 years earlier. Here, the colonial mindset has largely been present in varying degrees in different & impacted aspects of our Indian society.
Evidence of persisting colonial mindset:
1Due to high levels of inequality in our society, we still look down upon labour & the poor of our country
2Lack of empathy for the oxa handworking [poor, labdren labourers]
3& emphasis on English - Those who cannot speak English are regarded as illiterate
4Blind westernization:- we tend to adopt everything that is popular in the west.
5Raised seeking towards our people → North-east people called Chinese
6Use of words like 'Sir', 'Lord'.
7Rift-taking ability of Indians had reduced due to British restrictions, we had scarcity of resources,
8Love of power is still there, people like to worship power & accept to achieve it.
9Craze for government job, still persist today
Thus, British colonial mindset still persists in Indian society & we must decouple from it to find our roots in our ancient & rich traditional culture of respect Attitude.
