Socio-Economic Concerns:

(i) May trigger large scale displacement which are infringing & grand due to floating

(ii) Disproportionate harm tripled livelihoods as they reside in great areas prone to inundation eg nagas in HP due to Hen-Sutlej Link

(iii) Limited compensation capacity - State may have to run heavy expenditure on land acquisition & compensation under LARR Act, 2013

(iv) Loss of livelihoods of men dependent on agriculture, minor spelt produce etc. on inundated land

Environmental Concerns:

(i) Nets protected area in danger of Perch Saturation due to Hen-Sutlej Link

(ii) Rich of large scale depreciation & habitat loss

(iii) Himalayan corporal may trigger landslides, cloud foods and earthquakes due to gorge (inundation)

(iv) Loss of pristine ecosystem due to flooding

(v) Environment Impact Assessment impotent difficult due to large scale of he project. The National Water Development Authority must conduct detailed study to mitigate adverse impact of NRILP.
