Events Leading to CDM:
(i) Pro-changers within Congress started participating in legislature after non-cooperating and raised nationalist demands petitioning peasants, workers and students
(ii) Communist and radical movement in 1920s such as Kakori train conspiracy, Bhagat Singh's HSRA kindled mass consciousness against British
(iii) Announcement of Simon Commission came as a shock to Indians as it had no Indian members to evaluate Constitutional framework for India
