Four components of EQ relevant to public services:

1Self awareness: This component would make an administrator be completely aware of his position in life & expectation in given administration alongside possible limitation he has in his personality

(ex) Principal of a college can contribute to it only if he is well aware of the reality

2Self regulation: Ability to regulate oneself in challenging or tempting circumstance - one can form any negative thinking into productive or positive one

(ex): An honest IAS officer can dare [illegible] of public money

3Social empathy: It is considered as mother of all emotions for public service. It help administrator realise the pain of the beneficiaries

(ex): Empathetic police officer on help human sensitive - policing

4Social management: It entails better communication skills, persuasion capability & leadership quality required to deal with society

(ex): IPS officer using national custom to control the mob

therefore, EQ alongside IQ require for administrative job - it's in shapely intristic competence of an individual.
