Role of 6th schedule: (A) Development 1) Allows for the application of central and state rules, while being subject to governor's modifications. 2) Ensures political autonomy and stakeholder involvement in development of 6th schedule areas. Eg: Autonomous district council have legislative, executive and judicial powers. 3) Devolution of power ensures conjure in utilisation and bridging of isolation gap. 4) Nature-based, sustainable development due to democratised decision making.
