White revolution evolved under aegis of Verghese Kurien in late 1970s, which increased per capita milk production availability from 118 gm to 141 gm.

Factors for Regional success:

Milk revolution available of livestock => Maharashtra, the slack soil and black plateau are not agriculturally rich, so livestock farming is main economic activity => presence of buffalo, dairy => natural production of milk.
