1The king of Germany → William II → was an ambitious and ruthless leader => wanted to expand German influence in Europe and colonial areas of Asia and Africa.
2Germany, with clever foreign policy, led to beginning of allegiance system between the Triple Axis and Allied powers.
2With the assassination of Austrain Duke, Germany instigated Austria to launch the war against Serbia, dragging Russia, Britain and France into the system.

1Hitler's Germany started the process of 're-militarization of Europe.
