The United Nations came into existence in 1945, with the aim of re-building post-war society and prevention of any future world wars.

1Bretton Woods Institution for re-building post-war economy i.e. World Bank & IMF.
2Global negotiating forum with all major world powers => conflict mitigation forum.
3Helped to mitigate several key regional conflicts we have: Palestine, Korean war, Yugoslavia etc.
